Neil Porter Expand Neil is a Qualified Chartered Surveyor. He trained at Gooch &Wagstaff (now part of Colliers) followed by stints at CBRE and Knight Frank. In 1993, he was managing partner of a surveying practice in London’s West End dealing with all aspects of the professional and agency work. In 2003 he set up Levanter Properties, trading commercial assets in UK and Germany, then in 2013 Allois Properties.
Nuno Guerreiro - Young People's Learning Lead Expand Nuno has nearly 20 years of experience in the education sector. Nuno joined Prior's Court in 2014. Since then, he has as class teacher and subject lead for Computing, before joining the senior management team in 2023 as Young People's Learning Lead for Functional Academics. Nuno has a passion for innovative approaches to education, particularly with use of computer technology. He has led several projects that use technology to promote independence for young people at Prior's Court, including use of Virtual Reality headsets which made international headlines in 2019. Nuno has completed the 5-day and Beyond the Basics courses in the TEACHH methodology, and a postgraduate degree in autism awarded by AETAPI. He is also a member of the Microsoft Innovative Educator Expert Programme.
Nickie Dunphy - Young People's Learning Lead Expand Nickie joined Prior’s Court in 2017 as Purchasing Manager before assuming the role of Careers Lead/Job Coach Supervisor in November 2021, and then Young Person's Leading Lead in March 2023. She oversees our Vocational Skills Area of Learning. With a background in working in a variety of commercial sectors, she has experience of developing work programmes for young people with a range of learning abilities, guiding them through skills training and workplace skills. Nickie has a level 6 Careers Leader qualification.
Lynsey Preston - Director of Safeguarding and Health and Safety Expand Lynsey has over 20 years’ experience of working with autistic young people with complex needs having joined Prior’s Court when it opened in 1999. During this time she has worked in the School as support worker, head of two residential homes and set up two new residential homes for post 16 students before joining the leadership team as Deputy Head of Care. Her role now encompasses the safeguarding of the young people we support across the whole provision and health & safety.
Lucinda Borer - parent of a young person at Prior's Court and Research Board parent representative Expand Lucinda is an AutSPACEs collaborator, who has given valuable insights to the project since its inception. She has been an important advocate for diverse inclusion and fair remuneration for participatory scientists. Lucinda, who has presented with the Alan Turing Institute at CogEx, is the mother of an autistic young person with complex needs and learning disabilities who lives at Prior's Court within the Young Adult Provision. She aims to promote acceptance and awareness of individuals, families, and caregivers affected by complex forms of autism and associated needs by giving a voice to their realities. Lastly, Lucinda cites this recent quote from father, director, writer and teacher, Stephen Unwin: “In our championing of the many splendid things that so many learning disabled and / or neurodivergent people can do, we must be careful not to marginalise or forget those who can do less.”
Meagan Parker - Prior's Court PBS Learning Specialist and Research Board staff representative Expand Meagan has an undergraduate degree in teaching and a Masters degree in Psychology. Meagan has worked in the field of Positive Behaviour Support for the past eight years, supporting autistic children and adults with learning disabilities and/or mental health diagnoses to learn new skills. Meagan has also been heavily involved in training staff for six years, with a particular focus on physical intervention training and reducing restrictive practices.
Pari Jevant - Prior's Court Team Manager and Research Board staff representative Expand Pari Jevant is a Team Manager at Prior's Court, in a residential home for six young people. She has experience working in departments inclusive of Learning, Wellbeing, Positive Behaviour Support, and Admissions and Transitions after completing the Prior's Court Graduate Programme in 2022. Since joining Prior's Court, Pari has continued to explore what interested her during her BA in Sociology by completing an Added Value Project that focussed on helping a young person identify and associate body parts to a storybook she created in order to communicate pain.
