Job description

The role of Driver

We're seeking drivers for the minibus to work staff transport vehicles operated by Prior's Court, a charity supporting autistic young people with complex needs.

This will involve you supporting a pick up/drop off service on an agreed route for our staff, arriving on time at the correct locations and bringing them to their place of employment promptly and reliably.

Multiple shifts of 2.5 hours available – 4.45am – 7.15am, 11.45am - 2.15pm, 3.45pm – 6.15pm, 9.45pm – 12.15am.

Role responsibilities:

  • To perform agreed vehicle checks on a regular basis
  • To carry out basic vehicle maintenance daily, including the replenishment of consumables such as windscreen wash or fuel, ensuring the vehicle is roadworthy before each journey
  • To provide a friendly welcome and comfortable journey to staff members
  • To maintain logs for mileage and collections times as well as hours worked for payroll purposes
  • To ensure the vehicle is left secure when unattended

Qualifications / Preferred experience

  • Experience of driving mid-size & large vehicles, D1 Licence required
  • A current, clean driving licence without restrictions
  • Good geographical knowledge of Swindon, Reading, Oxford, Didcot, Basingstoke and Newbury.
