Our young people are challenging themselves at this year's Parallel Windsor - a "festival of inclusivity".

On Sunday, 2 July, 15 of Prior's Court's young people are taking part in Parallel Windsor, a series of challenge events designed for people with a range of disabilities. These events include fun runs of varying distances ranging from 100m to 10k and includes a Super Sensory 1k.

Young people Alfie, Luca, Brandon, Daniel, Ola, Tashelle, Felix, Daniel, James, Jack, Amar, Theo, Peter, Daniel, and Millie have all been selected to take part in this year's Parallel Windsor event, and will be fundraising for Prior's Court's Let Me Shine Performing Arts Centre appeal.

This is a fantastic opportunity for our young people as not only is it a fun and interactive day out in the community, it allows them to take part in something to raise their own money towards the creation of additional facilities here to enrich their lives. Other young people supported by other charities can show their support for the help the charity provides them and by taking part in this event, our young people get this opportunity too.

We are incredibly excited to be able to take part in this year's Parallel Windsor. Partaking in these events whilst fundraising, will provide our young people with the independence and agency to do something for themselves that isn't always possible for those with complex autism. We are looking forward to following along with their training and giving them a big cheer on the day!

Natalie Norris, Fundraising Manager at Prior's Court

This is the first year our young people are taking part, and we are excited to be able to provide them their own means of giving back to Prior's Court in a way that is both fun and accessible.
