The Care Quality Commission (CQC) is the independent regulator of health and social care in England. CQC make sure care homes and all other care services in England provide people with safe, effective, compassionate and high-quality care, and they encourage them to make improvements. They do this by inspecting services and publishing the results on their website to help people make better decisions about care providers.

Prior's Court Young Adult Provision consists of three on-site homes (the Cottages), an offsite residential home (Charlotte House) and a Learning Centre. Each of the three Prior's Court Cottages and Charlotte House are each individually registered with the CQC. The CQC inspect care homes regularly and as part of this process award ratings to the service.
