Our education & residential care Our approach to learning Young people supported to enter prestigious art show Back in March, a group of talented autistic young people from Prior's Court were supported to submit their artwork to Royal Academy of Arts' Young Artists’ Summer Show (YASS). Although we weren’t selected for this year’s exhibition - an incredibly competitive event with a record number of submissions - we’re proud to share that the young people who took part received a certificate of participation and, more importantly, they produced some inspiring work. YASS is known for its exceptionally high standards, so just taking part is a significant achievement. What matters most is the creativity, dedication and teamwork our young people demonstrated throughout the process. A celebration of artistic achievement Creating the submissions was a real team effort, and every young person involved should feel proud of what they accomplished from their hard work. Ola – and her beautifully expressive piece Louis B and Alexander – for their abstract piece Wilfy and Daniel L – whose brilliant building skills stood out in making the Bug Snug, which Spring House then painted Ryan S and Fredi L – for their imaginative Kaleidoscope Mobile Fredi L – also recognised for a fantastic rapid sketch These young artists demonstrated talent, perseverance and creative vision—and we couldn’t be prouder. Sammi, our staff member who led on this project, said: "Although we weren’t successful this year we're going to try again next year, but the young people's hard work should be seen and celebrated."
