Prior’s Court is a registered charity providing education and residential care for young people with complex autism, aged 5-25. Set within a 50-acre site in Berkshire, we fundraise for bespoke facilities to help our young people to be healthy, happy and live more independent lives.

By registering for a Prior’s Court Challenge event, you agree to the below terms and conditions:

Third Party Challenge Event

This challenge event is run by a third party and administration is managed by Run for Charity. When signing up, you will be asked to agree to Run for Charity’s terms and conditions. You also agree to comply with any information required by Run for Charity and the third-party event organiser.

Minimum age requirements, fitness and minimum completion times will be highlighted on the Run for Charity webpage.

Entry cost and fundraising

Entry cost – the cost to enter will be clearly listed on Prior’s Court website and on Run for Charity and is non-refundable and non-transferable. Please note that the cost to you is the not the full cost of the place and Prior’s Court will be covering the remainder of the entry fee.

Fundraising – the minimum sponsorship will be clearly listed on Prior’s Court website and on Run for Charity. By signing up you agree to raise the minimum amount of sponsorship (excluding gift aid). You agree to contact Prior’s Court as soon as possible if you are not sure you are able to raise the funds required. We are here to support your fundraising and we encourage you to raise as much sponsorship money as possible above the minimum to support Prior’s Court.

You agree to only use lawful means to fundraise for Prior’s Court and will not do anything that harms or is likely to harm our reputation.

Cancellation or postponements

Cancellation by you: If you accept your place with us and then, for whatever reason, decide you do not want to complete the challenge event for us, we will charge you the full entry fee (this includes the balance that Prior’s Court has paid – see Entry cost for more information). If you cannot take part due to injury or personal circumstances, please contact us as soon as possible to discuss.

Cancellation by the event organisers: We will keep you informed if a situation arises where the challenge event will have to be cancelled, postponed, or changed. Prior's Court takes no responsibility for any loss incurred as a result of the organisers cancelling the event.

Sponsorship money:

If the event is cancelled and an alternative date not given, or if you decide not to participate, you are responsible for contacting your sponsors to inform them that the event is no longer going ahead /you are no longer taking part. You are also required to confirm whether they are happy for the money they have donated to still be given to Prior’s Court or for their money to be refunded. In the case of a refund, you will be responsible for obtaining email addresses for each donor and sharing these with Prior’s Court.  We will help you to facilitate either outcome.

Our Liability:

Prior’s Court Foundation is not the organiser of the Challenge and do not have any responsibility or liability in respect of running the Challenge. We will not be responsible for injury or illness resulting from your participation or for any damage or losses outside of our control.

Marketing

Use of Photos and Videos:

You confirm that you are happy for your name and any video footage or photographs taken of you during the Challenge event to be used by Prior’s Court for commercial and fundraising purposes, such as preparing marketing material for future challenges and uploading videos and photographs from the Challenge to social media to promote the Challenge and celebrate the success of our fundraisers. Please let us know if you do not want us to use video footage or photographs of you in this way by contacting us using the details above.

Health and Safety

By signing up you agree that you are taking part in the event at your own risk and that you will prepare yourself to the best of your abilities for the physical challenge. You agree you will check with your doctor if you have any concerns as to whether you are medically fit to participate in the Challenge. You also agree that you will comply with the health and safety and other rules and regulations issued by the Event organisers.
