TEACHER - SEN SPECIAL SCHOOL FOR AUTISM

Prior’s Court is a residential special school, catering for autistic children and young people with complex needs from ages 5-25.

Due to increasing numbers, we are looking for a qualified/unqualified teachers and instructors to join our 'Outstanding' school (OFSTED, May 2022) and help transform the future for the young people we support. You will lead in one of our classes of up to seven children. You will work alongside our team of Learning Specialists, which includes teachers, therapists, and behaviour support leads, as well as liaising closely with our Wellbeing teams.

Dependent on qualification and experience

  • Qualified: £32k - £43k
  • Unqualified: £23k - £30k
  • Instructor: £22.5k - £28k
Hours:

37.5 hours per week

40 weeks per year (including 2 x 5 day ‘Training Weeks’)

About us

Prior's Court was set up by Founding Patron Dame Stephanie Shirley, whose vision of a centre of excellence for autistic children became reality with the opening of Prior's Court School in 1999. We have since grown to support around 90 young people aged between 5-25 years.

Since opening, our support team has grown from around 20 to 500 and we have built a reputation as a leading edge educational, vocational, and residential facility for autistic young people. We are situated on 50 acres of parkland with various facilities including accommodation for our young people, a school with a wide range of facilities and offices

Qualifications

  • Experience of teaching autistic children/young adults or with complex additional needs.
  • QTS or QTLS desirable.
  • Early Careers Teachers are encouraged to apply, and a full induction is offered.
