Residential care and support career pathway

The majority of the young people at Prior's Court live within one of our residential homes - many for up to 52 weeks of the year. The residential team at Prior's Court are responsible for our young people within this home environment - teaching them life skills such as  preparing meals or brushing their hair as well as leisure skills both on site and out in our local community.

  • Autism Practitioner

    Autism Practitioners play a crucial role in supporting our young people to grow and develop encouraging each individual to achieve their aspirations and lead fulfilling and purposeful lives.

    Whether supporting young people in the classroom, on an outside trip or settling down to read a bedtime story, you will build an enduring bond with each young person you work with and go home each day knowing that you have made a real difference to their lives.

  • Senior Autism Practitioner

    In conjunction with the Home Management Team, the Senior Autism Practitioner is responsible for the day to day organisation of their team of Autism Practitioners. Role modelling outstanding working practices and ensuring the health and wellbeing for our young people in their home.

    Using your experience and knowledge of autism care you will support others to deliver excellent outcomes for young people.

  • Senior Home Manager

    Our Senior Home Managers demonstrate outstanding leadership within their homes, and work in collaboration with our Care Leadership team delivering and supporting projects that improve and add value to Prior’s Court.

    Care Leaders promote outstanding practice and guide Home Managers to deliver excellent outcomes for our young people and our teams. Responsible for several homes across the provision, each care leader takes key accountability to ensure that standards are demonstrated and maintained at the highest level.

  • Director of Residential Care

    As part of the Executive team the Director of Residential Care is responsible for creating and delivering the overall organisational strategy for the delivery of care. In conjunction with the Director of Education, developing the Prior Approach model and associated autism tools and techniques across all young people programmes.
