ABOUT PRIOR'S COURT

Prior's Court was set up by Founding Patron Dame Stephanie Shirley, whose vision of a centre of excellence for children with autism became reality with the opening of Prior's Court School in 1999. We have since grown to support around 80 young people with autism aged between 5-25 years with the opening of Prior's Court Young Adult Provision in 2011.

We offer a range of specialist services within a residential children’s home, school and adult provision to support children and young people severely challenged by their autism. 

THE ROLE

We require a qualified, highly motivated and enthusiastic PE teacher to work in an educational environment that provides a specialist approach to autism. The successful applicant will have a resilient and calm manner in order to fully support our students to achieve maximum within this specific area, they will work closely with other members of the team including therapists and teachers.

Experience of teaching PE to children with special educational needs and autistic spectrum disorders will be an advantage but is not essential; a comprehensive training package plus continuous professional development in the field of autism will be provided.
