We have since grown to support around 80 young people with autism aged between 5-25 years with the opening of Prior's Court Young Adult Provision in 2011. We offer a range of specialist services within a residential children’s home, school and adult provision to support children and young people severely challenged by their autism. THE ROLE We are looking for an enthusiastic person join the Occupational Therapy/ Physiotherapy team at Prior’s Court. The successful candidate will have experience of supporting people with autism and have a passion helping young people to make progress across their daily lives. This is an exciting opportunity to work in an outstanding autism provision which is recognised for the success of its approach which has TEACCH and therapeutic input at its core. The therapy assistant’s role offers the opportunity to be involved in enabling young people from 5 to 25 to self-regulate, to engage in play and functional activities and to thrive. The assistant also carries out duties which support the therapists in their work. The school is well resourced with multi-sensory suites, a sensory integration room, swimming pool and a gym. We offer excellent training and a comprehensive induction programme which will enhance vocational development. Salary will be on the Agenda for Change pay rates depending on experience. Part time 3 days per week with 33 days pro rata paid holiday inclusive of bank holidays.
