We are strong advocates for the arts at Prior's Court, so were delighted to host a visit from Replay Theatre Company - an inclusive children’s theatre company which creates bespoke theatre adventures for young people under 19 years.

The team from Replay undertook a week of "creative consultation" involving research and observation with the staff and young people at Prior's Court in order to support the development of a brand new show called Tribe, which is being created specifically for young autistic audiences.

Tribe Development at PriorAfter spending time observing the young people at Prior's Court engaging with a wide variety of activities in a range of settings, the team noticed the importance of and emphasis placed on choice - something they are keen to incorporate into their production. Replay plan to deliver the show to a single audience member in order to enable it to be tailored towards each individual.

Andrew Stanford, Inclusion Lead Artist said;

Through the wonderful support of Louise and Claudio, as well as the staff we encountered during our visit, my team of performers and I were able to immerse ourselves in the remarkable school environment and observe a wide range of sessions and engagement. This valuable research has already had a tremendous impact on our development of ground-breaking inclusive theatre, created specifically for an audience that is consistently neglected within arts provision. We are delighted to have the support of Prior’s Court on this project and are excited about developing our relationship further over the months and years to come. Thanks, everyone!

We couldn't be more pleased to be involved with this work and look forward to seeing Tribe in all its glory when Replay take the show on tour next year.
