Apply now About Prior's Court Prior's Court was set up by Founding Patron Dame Stephanie Shirley, whose vision of a centre of excellence for children with autism became reality when Prior's Court School opened in 1999. We have since grown with the opening of Prior's Court Young Adult Provision in 2011 and now support around 90 young people with autism aged between 5-25 years. Since opening, our support team has grown from around 20 to 500 and we have built a reputation as a leading educational, vocational, and residential facility for young people with autism. Working with our young people can be challenging but extremely rewarding. The role of Floor Layer at Prior's Court An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Estates team at Prior’s Court to support the school as a Floor Layer, for a candidate with at least 2 years’ experience in floor laying, including sub floor prep, vinyl, carpet, safety flooring. The responsibilities are varied and would provide the opportunity to work across a commercial and domestic setting. The post holder will source, store and manage the stock required to complete all tasks. They will speak to suppliers to get the best price for items as well as liaising with Estates Team to ensure correct storage and stock take of items. Create and maintain an ongoing reactive and planned diary of works by touring the homes/buildings and working through a priority list, keeping the relevant people updated and maintaining accountability for your work Carry out all works asked of you by the Estates Management Team, including the laying of all flooring and installation of whiterock to walls where required Work calmly and flexibly to ensure that the needs of the young people at Prior's Court and staff working with them are considered when planning and carrying out works. Working with other qualified trades, semi-skilled and non-skilled operational staff to develop cross-skills, covering all levels and aspects of maintenance activities on a teamwork basis.
