Prior's Court was set up by Founding Patron Dame Stephanie Shirley, whose vision of a centre of excellence for children with autism became reality with the opening of Prior's Court School in 1999. We have since grown to support around 80 young people with autism aged between 5-25 years with the opening of Prior's Court Young Adult Provision in 2011.

We offer a range of specialist services within a residential children’s home, school and adult provision set within around 50 acres of grounds to support children and young people severely challenged by their autism. 


As our Estates Officer, your duties will include:

  • Management of the ticketing system to support and coordinate the daily and programmed Estates, Housekeeping and Reception duties.
  • Coordinate a program for long term planned maintenance in conjunction with the Estates manager and each residential house and education team.
  • Help identify and coordinate third party support to the ongoing maintenance program such as external contractors.
  • Prepare and maintain a tracking log and arrange all regular mandatory maintenance works that are to be carried out by external contractors such as Fire Risk Assessments, Fire Extinguisher checks and Legionella testing.
  • In conjunction with maintenance team, prepare a schedule of all regular equipment and supplies required and coordinate regularly with procurement manager to ensure supplies are replenished.
  • Support the estates team in the management of the School vehicles tracking the annual servicing and vehicle tax and keeping track on servicing and repair costs.
  • Help support the Health and Safety requirements of the School and the engagement of external sub-contractors.
