Prior's Court was set up by Founding Patron Dame Stephanie Shirley, whose vision of a centre of excellence for children with autism became reality with the opening of Prior's Court School in 1999. We have since grown to support around 80 young people with autism aged between 5-25 years with the opening of Prior's Court Young Adult Provision in 2011.

We offer a range of specialist services within a residential children’s home, school and adult provision set within around 50 acres of grounds to support children and young people severely challenged by their autism. 


As our Estates Manager, you will

  • Ensure all facilities and equipment on site are kept in a fully maintained condition, they meet the needs of the young people and they conform to all relevant compliancy regulations. To facilitate this, the Estates manager will prepare a plan of future maintenance requirements.
  • Take overall responsibility for all Health and Safety matters on the site, ensuring actions are taken and processes and structures are in place to assure the safety of young people, staff and visitors.
  • Have management responsibility for housekeeping and catering.
  • Continually review the processes and costs of estate management and recommend and implement improvements to quality and reduction in costs.
  • Act as internal project manager for capital building projects.
