Job description

The role of Electrician

The Electrician at Prior's Court will be tasked with dividing high quality, cost-effective planned reactive maintenance and repair service to all electrical systems across the Prior’s Court Estate and surrounding owned properties.

Selected specific responsibilities include:

  • To undertake the maintenance, servicing and installation of all the Prior's Court Foundation electrical systems.
  • Provide accurate related paperwork for all electrical works including electrical, fire, and specialist systems 
  • Be the point of contact for the maintenance, servicing and installation of all the Estates electrical systems, liaising with the Estates chosen commercial M&E contractor and ensuring all works are undertaken within agreed time frames meeting SLA\Specification requirements
  • Carry out all electrical repairs and in-house electrical projects to a high level and standard, conforming to the current IEE and British standard Regulations
  • Work to an agreed programme of rolling upgrades for domestic and commercial plant across the Estate, liaising with the Facilities Manager, to ensure all condition reports are provided
  • To assist the Maintenance Supervisor in ensuring a 24/7 call-out response programme is in place for all emergencies relating to electrical, fire and security (using in-house or external contractor resource) as necessary.
  • Any other tasks as directed to meet the requirements of the role and to always operate in a style that is consistent with the values and vision of Prior’s Court.

  • City & Guilds 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (2382-18)
  • Electrical qualification, such as City & Guilds 2394 & 2395 Certificates for initial verification and certification of installations
  • Valid driving licence
