ABOUT PRIOR'S COURT

Prior's Court was set up by Founding Patron Dame Stephanie Shirley, whose vision of a centre of excellence for children with autism became reality with the opening of Prior's Court School in 1999. We have since grown to support around 80 young people with autism aged between 5-25 years with the opening of Prior's Court Young Adult Provision in 2011.

We offer a range of specialist services within a residential children’s home, school and adult provision to support children and young people severely challenged by their autism. THE ROLE

We are ambitious for the young people at Prior's Court and aim to bring the highest level of expertise to support and improve their life chances. The Education and Care Lead (19-25) will be accountable for demonstrating outstanding progress in all areas of learning, communication, daily living skills, vocational skills, sensory tolerance and healthiness for the young people aged 19–25 at Prior's Court who have autism and severe learning difficulties. 

They will ensure that an appropriate and exciting learning programme is in place that provides for the learning, safety and all round development of the young people and ensure that their progress and achievement is maximised through effective measurement systems.
