The main aim for upper school students is to offer a range of person centered learning opportunities through a carefully planned curriculum, promoting independence and self-sufficiency within a structured environment whilst focusing on key skills learnt in earlier years. The curriculum is individually tailored and differentiated to reflect and meet the needs of the students. Assessment in year 10 enables us to identify the best possible route for the future, including work experience and placements and appropriate accreditation.
We have developed an innovative approach we call the Prior Approach for the education and residential living requirements of our pupils, which you can read about here. This section outlines the adapted curriculum we provide for students once they have completed the equivalent Secondary curriculum.
