Fundraising at Prior's Court
Each young person at Prior’s Court is funded through their Local Authority or Social Services, which covers their core provision, their day to day educational and care needs and the highly trained staff who support them. However, to support the independence-building and vocational activities that will enable the young people to live a fulfilling and inclusive life it is essential to raise an additional income of £500,000 a year.
This helps to pay for specialist equipment and activities that will make a real difference to their future.
Just some examples of the items for which these funds are needed include:-
- IT equipment to provide a voice to help non-verbal students communicate
- A minibus which is vital to enable students to access the community and practice social skills
- Sensory equipment which is a key part of meeting every young person’s needs
- Bicycles are needed for physical activity which helps to reduce anxiety
Your support for Prior’s Court fundraising is hugely valuable and can help improve and transform young people’s lives by giving them a chance of a more inclusive life both now and in the future.
