Prior's Court Foundation
Set up in 1999 by Founding Patron Dame Stephanie Shirley, Prior's Court Foundation is a non-profit making charity dedicated to providing the highest quality of education and care for young people with autism and to promoting best practice and expertise worldwide.
Prior's Court School has an international reputation as one of the country's leading specialist schools for children with autism and severe and complex learning difficulties. The school was the inspiration of Founding Patron Dame Stephanie Shirley who worked with a team of staff to create a special environment and an approach which would enable children with autism to lead a fulfilling and as independent a life as possible.
Based within the Prior's Court estate, the Cottages provide a supportive living and learning environment for young adults with autism from 19 to 25 years. The provision aims to develop essential life and vocational skills, empowering young adults with autism to lead a fulfilling and purposeful life within the community.
